We exist to be a good neighbor and to make a positive impact on the community. That's why we created the "Growing With Good Neighbor" tote.
We've partnered with Detroit artist Martyna Alexander to design these re-usable totes.
100% of proceeds from the tote go to Growing Places Indy and Keep Growing Detroit.
Growing Places Indy
Since 2009, Growing Places Indy has empowered individuals to cultivate
personal, family, and community wellness through urban agriculture, access to
fresh local food, and mind-body education. They are a Black women-led
organization with a small and diverse staff with a vision to create a more just and
equitable food system.
Growing Places Indy works to create food access through farmer's markets,
farming apprenticeship programs, youth programs, farm stands, other initiatives
that have one common goal: to make healthy foods available to all,
no matter your zip code.
Keep Growing Detroit
Keep Growing Detroit's mission is to promote a food sovereign city where the
majority of fruits and vegetables consumed by Detroiters are grown by residents
within the city's limits. Keep Growing Detroit operates a 1.5-acre urban farm
and teaching facility located in Detroit's historic Eastern Market District.
Their strategic approach empowers beginner gardeners to become engaged
community leaders and food entrepreneurs, addressing the immediate needs of
the community while promoting sustainable change in our food system.
